Utama, PhD
Received his PhD degree from Gifu University, Japan. He carried
out his Postdoctoral Research at Central Research Laboratories,
Maruishi Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd., Osaka, Japan, and National
Institute of Infectious Diseases, Tokyo, Japan, with a fellowship
grant from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS).
His main research interest is molecular biology of virus, particularly
the mechanism of virus replication, virus evolution and its
role in cancer development.

Dr.
Sigit Purwantomo
Graduated with PhD degree in Biology from Bogor Agricultural
University and M.Sc in Biology from the University of Indonesia.
He received scholarship from The Royal Netherlands Academy of
Arts and Sciences (KNAW) to perform research in the Section
of Molecular and Developmental Genetics, University of Leiden,
the Netherlands (2001-2003). At the MRIN, he is working on gene
cloning and expression of proteins for functional studies.

Indra
Bachtiar, PhD
Graduated from Tohoku University, Japan in Pharmaceutical Molecular
Biology. He received Intramural Research Training Award from
NIH as Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Laboratory of Biophysical
Chemistry in the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI),
Bethesda, Maryland, USA. He is interested in finding novel protein
biomarkers for cancer early detection.

Dr.
rer. nat. Ivet Suriapranata
Received her PhD degree in Biochemistry from the University
of Stuttgart, Germany. Prior to joining the MRIN, she was Postdoctoral
Researcher in the Division of Biological Sciences, University
of California, San Diego, USA. Her research interest is Single
Nucleotide Polymorphism in association with cancer development
and progression.

Agus
Setiyono, DVM, PhD
Graduated from the United Graduate School of Veterinary Sciences,
Gifu University, Japan. He received research grant from The
Japan Health Sciences Foundation for a Postdoctoral research
fellow position at National Institute of Infectious Diseases,
Tokyo, Japan. His research interest is immunopathology of cancer.
